Cu'pik Native Ulric Ulroan has started a birding destination outside of the Yukon Delta village of Chevak, Alaska. His fish camp, on the bank of the Keoklevek River, is about 5 miles as the swan flies - many more miles as the river winds - from Hooper Bay and the Bering Sea, in the vast Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge.

In June 2008, our group was Ulric's first paying customers. Led by Wilderness Birding Adventures, we spent about four days birding a small part of the vast Refuge. This site describes this rarely-birded area.
